POP-UP PATTERN

A collection of bags developed using puff printing, applying its property of hardening the printed areas to create three-dimensional structure. The printed fabric is then shaped through smocking and shrinkage along the pattern, allowing the gathered areas to shape the overall form of the bag while adding cushioning and protection.

The folded construction is partly based on the Ron Resch pattern, combining research into origami-inspired structures with print techniques to create a new three-dimensional textile expression.
